Promoting Healthy Living, Social Justice, Gender Balance And
Nurturing Sports Careers in Communities

SAUNA is a non-profit charity organization that utilizes sports to promote healthy living/fitness, develop careers and strengthen cultural relations through various sports activities in communities in Uganda and North America. We use sport to engage with individuals and communities on a deeper level and ensure that people are truly able to achieve positive change in their lifestyles. Working with communities is key to achieving our vision.

We believe that to provide a truly valued service, we must include the community in the decision making process and be clear about what we can realistically achieve. Being principled and having integrity is also critical in gaining mutual trust.

We also use sport to break cultural barriers within the communities and promote gender equality.

Our approach ensures that people are truly able to achieve positive change in their lifestyles.

To achieve this, SAUNA organizes three major events in a year –the Sauna Sports Festival, Sauna Community Run and Sauna Kids Health Camp. The organization works with established professionals in various fields. We are committed to growing sports talent and our love of sport is truly at the heart of everything we do. SAUNA also provides participants with a variety of formal and informal networking opportunities that help build and strengthen professional relationships.
